About Chetco Federal Credit Union

Chetco Federal Credit Union (CFCU) was chartered in 1957. From its humble beginnings servicing mill employees out of a trunk of a car, CFCU has been improving lives of our members and the communities we serve for over 50 years. CFCU has expanded to over $292 million in assets, servicing over 30,000 members. CFCU has six branches and two high school branches. Our Mission Statement is "Dedicated to Helping People" which encompasses our world class service.

Chetco Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution owned by its members. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works or worships in Del Norte, Curry and Coos Counties, and their family members. CFCU is a financial cooperative providing financial services to our members. The Board of Directors is elected from this community by the general membership. These board members serve wholly in a volunteer capacity. Each member is an owner of the credit union.
