Escalation Process
If you feel that the offer or decision presented to you with regard to your Fannie Mae or
Freddie Mac owned mortgage loan, serviced by Chetco Federal Credit Union (CFCU), was reached in error or
you have a dispute about how the decision was reached, you may contact the number listed below and speak
to a CFCU Representative. Our Escalation Review Team will review your file and all corresponding
documentation that was provided to ensure compliance. You may also submit additional documentation you
think would be helpful in explaining your situation.
The review process takes fifteen (15) calendar days. You will be assigned a case reference
number and will be notified within three (3) business days of our receipt of your escalation review
request. However, if case evaluation cannot be complete within fifteen (15) days, resolution will be
determined within thirty (30) days of receipt. We cannot guarantee that you will receive any (or a
particular type) of assistance.
Once your file has been reviewed you will be notified no later than five (5) business days
after a decision has been reached.

You remain obligated to make all mortgage payments as they come due, even when we are
evaluating your request. If you have missed more than four (4) consecutive payments or there is a
reason to believe that the property is vacant or abandoned, we may refer your mortgage to foreclosure
regardless of whether you are being considered for a modification or other types of foreclosure
alternatives.
